With your a.s.r. health insurance you have the option to pay the compulsory excess of € 385 in 10 monthly instalments. The first payment is in February, and the last in November. This means that you pay your excess in advance, regardless of whether or not you have already incurred any care expenses.
Do you expect to incur high healthcare costs, and are you not be able to pay for them in one go? If so, paying your excess in advance can be a good solution for you.

- You only have a compulsory excess, and therefore no voluntary excess.
- You are 18 years or older on January 1st

- You can register yourself and others who are co-insured on your policy for the excess payment scheme.
- Register yourself and/or others before January 25th via your a.s.r. account.
- If you register after January 25th or you turn 18 after January 1st, you cannot participate until the following calender year.

- You pay in 10 equal instalments of € 38,50 per insured person.
- Payments take place by direct debit at the end of the month. With the first payment in February and the final payment in November.
- As the policyholder, you are responsible for the direct debit to succeed. Please provide the correct account details and ensure that the balance on your account is sufficient.

- In April, you receive a final statement showing the healthcare costs of the year before.
- If the costs of care per insured party were less than € 385, we will refund the amount that was paid too much.
- No bills for the excess are sent during the insurance year. However, you can see the status of your excess via your a.s.r. account.
- If we receive care costs for the previous year that are covered by the excess after the settlement in April, these costs will still be charged. You will be informed of this in advance.

- Participation in the excess payment scheme continues in the following calendar year, unless you cancel before January 25th.
- You can terminate the excess payment scheme via your a.s.r. account.
- If the payments for the excess are not made, we will terminate the excess payment scheme.
- If the excess payment scheme is terminated prematurely and the excess owed is higher than the amounts you have already paid, the amount still to be paid will be charged immediately. If the excess is lower than the amounts you have already paid, we will calculate the difference. The excess amount will be reserved for future excess deductions.
- If the insurance is terminated because of emigration or death, a final settlement will take place immediately.
- You pay in 10 terms. Per term you pay € 38,50 per insured person. The payment happens via direct debit at the end of the month with the first happening at the end of February.
- You are responsible for the direct debit happening successfully. Do you not have enough balance in your account and therefore the direct debit doesn't go through? Please get in touch with us.
- If you don't pay, we will cancel the payment scheme.
The payments happen every month from February until November. Every month the payments happen around the 27th.

- Around July 28th, 2025
- Around August 26th, 2025

- In April, you will receive a settlement statement for the year before. If the healthcare costs per insured are less than € 385, we will refund the excess amount.
- As we don't sent you bills for the compulsory excess used during the year, you can view the current status of your compulsory in your a.s.r. account or in the Zorg App.
- Sometimes it happens that bills are sent to us after April that are covered by your compulsory excess. In that case we will still charge you. We will inform you in advance.
Have you cancelled your health insurance with us because of emigration or death? A final settlement will take place immediately.
Have you chosen an increased voluntary excess? In that case it is not possible to use the excess payment scheme.
